Mr. Duane Douglas Fuss of Red Deer, Alberta passed away unexpectedly at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the age of 53 years. Duane was born on December 28, 1956 at Estevan, SK. Duane was a well respected retired policeman and a member of the Sheriff's Department. Duane was a devoted family man. He was very athletic and determined in whatever he chose to do. His deepest passion was training and in our eyes he was the "World's Strongest Man". Weightlifting (power lifting) was truly one of his passions in life. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and his host of many friends. Duane is lovingly remembered by his wife of six years, Bernice, his parents Elli and Wally Fuss of Wetaskiwin, AB, his three sons, Christopher (Carolyn) Fuss of Okotoks, AB, Jarett "Ozzi" Fuss (Kira Berden) and Jason Weishaar of Red Deer, AB, his two daughters, Renae Fuss (Nick Smith) of Prince Albert, SK and Christine Kraft (Brian Molloy) of St. Albert, AB and his six grandchildren, Jessica and Denaisha Kraft, Jaydene and Tyler-Rae Molloy and Deakan and Ethan Berden. Duane is also survived by his three brothers, Larry (Linda) Fuss of Millet, AB, Curt (Rita) Fuss of Sherwood Park, AB and James (Kim) Fuss of Millet, AB. Those wishing to pay their respects to Duane and his family, may do so at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium on Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. A funeral service to remember Duane will be held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67 A Street, (Taylor Drive), Red Deer on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the Parkland Reception Centre.
