Gladys Stewart of Moose Jaw, passed away September 23, 2010 at the age of 98. Gladys was born in Regina on April 10, 1912. She received her education at Central Collegiate in Moose Jaw. Gladys was employed at the City Hall Licensing Dept. until her marriage to Robert James Stewart on December 6, 1941. She was later employed at W.E. Smith Electric for 27 years, retiring at age 71. Predeceased by her husband Robert, mother Alice Firth, brother Roy and sister Nancy, she is survived by three children: Sandra (Bill) Shiers, Jacqueline Stewart, and Roger (Marianne) Stewart; eleven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. A Private Family Service will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel. Reverend Allen Doerksen will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. In living memory of Gladys, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
