It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Linda Alice Brown in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Mary (MacLean) Brown former residents of Arthur Street, Glace Bay. Linda graduated from Morrison Glace Bay High School in 1969 and served a number of years with the armed forces in Trenton, Ont. and Sherwater, Nova Scotia.
Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by a sister, Mary Catherine Royal, Glace Bay and by her infant brother, Allie.
Linda is survived by her husband, Len; daughters, Nadia, Lisa (Mike) and son, Nicholas; step-granddaughter, Chloe; four brothers, James (Carol), New Brunswick, Evans (Dawn) Glace Bay, Sheldon (Leone) Glace Bay and Wilsie, Halifax; three sisters, Shirley (Barry) Williams, Alberta, Donna (Rich) LaRocque, North Carolina and Brenda Gwens (Dave) Alberta. Linda is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place in Winnipeg. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Glace Bay.
