1935 - 2010 - Cocagne - Stéphane Després, 75, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 25th after a lengthy illness. Born in Cocagne on May 14, 1935, he was the son of the late Raymond and Aline (Allain) Després. Stéphane will sadly be missed by his wife of 49 years, Loretta (Surette); one son, Denis Després of Cocagne; three daughters, Alice Després (Bert Gautreau), Janice Després (Luc Melanson) and Rachel Després (René Dupuis), all of Cocagne; four brothers, Armand Després, Roméo Després (late Jeannette), both of Cocagne, Maurice Després (Wilma) of Dieppe, Léon Després (Nancy) of Moncton; three sisters, Jeannette Després of Moncton, Lima Comeau (Ola) of Toronto, Phyllis Després (Wayne) of Cocagne; one sister-in-law, Lina Després (late Patrick) of Cocagne; two grandchildren, Amélie Mills and Gaétan Mills; also several cousins and nieces. He was predeceased by one brother, Patrick and one infant sister, Norma.
Visitations will be held at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church Slumber Room in Cocagne on Tuesday September 28th from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday, September 29th from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 29th at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne at 7 pm. Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont (Cancer Dept.) or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
