The death occurred peacefully at the Colville Manor in Souris on Sunday, June 7, 2009, of Dot La Pierre (nee Ford), age 87 years, formerly of Red Point. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred La Pierre. Loving mother of Mary (Raymond) Nicholson, Claude, Helen MacDonald, Dan, John (Donna) and Eric (Lois). Sadly missed by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Florence Ford of South Lake; sisters Mary Ellen, Elva, Lillian and Frances; brother Ernest; grandson Jaime; and great-grandson Nicholas. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral to be held on Wednesday morning, June 10, 2009, to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Souris for funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
