The death of Earl Francis Markey, of Woodstock, occurred at the Carleton Manor on September 29, 2010. He was born in Hartford, NB on March 21, 1918 to the late Matthew L. and Annie (Gallagher) Markey. Earl is survived by his sister Helen Fewer of Woodstock, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by: his parents; brothers John, Edward, Robert, Wilfred, Lew, Murray and Basil; sisters, Mary, Susan, Annie, Ada, and Margaret.
A visitation will be held from the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Rd, Jacksonville, on Friday, October 1, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A funeral service will be from St. Gertrude's Catholic Church on Saturday, October 2 at 11:00 am with Father John Keoughan as celebrant. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
