Passed away at the Oak Terrace, Orillia, on Thursday, September 30, 2010.
Beloved husband of June Downe of Beaverton. Cherished father of Gerry (Ellen), Rick (Heather), John (Louise) and Harold and stepfather of David Lyon, Douglas Lyon, Debbie Cooper, Dale Lyon and Daniel Patterson. Dear grandfather of five. Loved brother of Lomah (Vincent) Moore and predeceased by Charlie Downe and Eileen Lockerbie.
Family will receive friends at the Mangan Funeral Home (705-426-5777), 332 Osborne St., Beaverton, Ontario, on Sunday, October 3, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 383 Osborne St., Beaverton, Ontario, on Monday October 4, at 11 a.m. Interment at Christ Church Cemetery, Roches Point, Ontario at 2:30 p.m.
If desired, donations in memory of Robert can be made to Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
