Passed away Monday, June 8, in her 75th year at Ingliss Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, after a long courageous battle with leukemia. Leaving to mourn five daughters: Cindy (Bob) Plekham, California, USA, Debra (Rick) Cantore, Chicago, Illinois, Valerie (Bruce) Wallenburg, Elk Village, Illinois, Susan (Tony) Spognolo, Etobicoke, ON, Sharon Holleman (Steve) at home with whom she resided and five grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband John Tunis, grandson Phillip, parents John & Eliza Martin and brother Winston. Also leaving to mourn one brother Mac in Tantallon, NS; sisters Melba (Archie) White, Stephenville, NL, Lorraine (Dr. Mel) Andersen, Calgary, AB, Judy (Bill) LaFitte, Port au Port, NL as well as many other relatives and friends. The funeral will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. in Tharton, Illinois.
