92, of Manoir Notre-Dame and formerly of Elmwood Drive, Moncton, passed away on Friday October 8, 2010 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital. Born on November 14, 1917 in Shemogue, NB, he was the son of the late Marc and Eugénie (Léger) Brun.
He is survived by three sons: Ernest (Cécile) of Dieppe, Danny of Regina and Gary of Gagetown; six grandchildren: Robert, Debbie, Theresa, Johnny, Terry and Brandon; seven great-grandchildren: Sandy, Karen, Justin, Jeremy, Jason, Dennis and Tanya; two great-great-grandchildren: Blake and Spencer; one special friend: Ida Daigle. He was the last survivor of his immediate family.
He is predeceased by his wife, Eva Arsenault (1995); one daughter, Florence (2004); three sisters: Zelma, Juliette and Yvonne; three brothers: Thaddée, Léonce and Dismas.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's R.C. Church (340 Dominion Street), Moncton, on Tuesday October 12, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
