RUTTLE - Anne Ruttle (nee Hrychuk), of Climax, Saskatchewan (formerly of Bracken, Saskatchewan) died at the age of 86 years, on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at the Shaunavon Hospital and Care Centre. She was born in Whitney, Ontario on November 18, 1923, to parents Steven and Paraska Hrychuk, who predeceased her along with her four older sisters, Elizabeth Petrachuk, Mary Law, Rose Tessier and Doris Zito all of Ottawa, Ontario. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Archie Ruttle, her daughter Julie Ruttle of Red Deer, Alberta, son Robert Cuerrier (Jacqueline) of Edmonton, Alberta, daughter Linda Wicker (Billie) of Ottawa, Ontario, son Bernie Cuerrier (Debi) of Ottawa, Ontario. She had seven grandchildren Colleen Homme (Don), Philip Ruttle, Melissa-Kate Cuerrier (Aidan), Samantha Poulin (Lee), Sean Cuerrier, Erin Wicker and James Wicker. She was blessed with three great-grandchildren, Paige Homme, Tyson Cuerrier and Steaven Homme. Anne enjoyed many things in life - along with her passion for fishing she loved music, dancing, painting, reading and gardening; she always kept a huge garden and was an excellent cook. She learned to paint later in her life and enjoyed that immensely, sharing her talent with family and friends. The people who knew Anne were familiar with her willpower, determination and strong faith. Later in life, as her health issues took their toll, the first two of these traits would be easy to confuse with stubbornness and contrariness. However, you just had to remember where it came from. It was her faith that would get her through many adversities. Anne was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. A service of thanksgiving and remembrance was held in Bracken, Saskatchewan, at the Bracken United Church, on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, where Minister Shelby Kinrade kindly officiated. Interment took place at Bracken Cemetery surrounded by family and friends. Binkley's Funeral Service of Shaunavon was in charge of the arrangements. Memories and condolences can be forwarded to the family at www.Binkleys.com. For those wishing, donations can be made to the Southline Community Foundation, or to the charity or foundation of your choice.
