Doris May (Brown) Meehan, 83, of Barnesville, NB, died peacefully Wednesday evening, October 13, 2010, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 24, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Pearl (McLean) Brown. She lived in the Barnesville area most of her life. She attended the Barnesville Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Doris is survived by one daughter, Doreen (Douglas) MacArthur of Barnesville; one grandson, Brian (Christie) and three great-grandchildren, Mya, Avery and Sean, also of Barnesville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Pte. Andrew Meehan, killed in action, April 24, 1945; and two brothers, Harold and Edward.
Visitation will be held at the Barnesville Seventh-day Adventist Church, Wednesday, October 20 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 21, at 2:00pm. Interment will be in the adjacent cemetery.
