It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Charles Hillyard announce his passing on Friday, June 12th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Judie Hillyard Gushue, Pansy (Robert) Hilliard-Burke and Terry (Vera) Hilliard; grandchildren: Donald Demore, Hamilton, ON, Desneiges Demore Bart, Hamilton, ON, Richard William Gushue, Ottawa, ON, Julie Anne Gushue, Corner Brook and Jerry Hilliard, Deer Lake; great-grandchildren: Jason, Raven and Katrina Demore, Emily and Melanie Demore Bart, Billy and Leighann Bart, Jordan and Sophia; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ethel Ruth Hilliard (nee Hull); second wife, Marjorie Hillyard (nee Robinson); brothers: Graham, Ronald and Gerald Hilliard. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 15th at 2:00 p.m. from First United Church with Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Church Memorial Fund or Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
