The family regret to announce the death of their father, grandfather, brother and uncle on Oct. 25, 2010, in Miramichie, N.B., where he was residing.
He was the son of the late Maj. Archibald Caldwell and Marguerite (MacLeod) Caldwell.
Born Nov. 27, 1933, he grew up in Sydney Mines, graduating from Sydney Mines High School. He received a BA from Acadia University and graduated from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He had several charges in Alabama, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
He was very active in sports, especially baseball and hockey.
Quincy is survived by his four children, Roberta, Evert, Russell and Curtis and granddaughter, Keely. Also surviving are his brothers, Rev. Malcolm (Lois), Ottawa, and James (Joan), Cape Breton; his stepdaughter, Margaret, her mother Marion; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Lloyd and George, sister, Georgia and Elaine Clarkson, the mother of his children.
Funeral services will take place in New Brunswick on Friday, Oct. 29.
