Gordon Ellsworth Boyle age 80 years of Moose Jaw, passed away October 27, 2010. Gord was born and raised on a farm in the Petrolia District. He was a hard working loving partner, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an instructor at SIAST teaching finishing carpentry. He later went to university and obtained his teaching degree. In 1972 he obtained his pilot license. He was always encouraging and supportive and would share his knowledge whenever asked. He wanted nothing but the best for everyone including himself as he was a perfectionist in everything he did. Gord enjoyed his retirement and was an avid Moose Jaw Warrior Fan going on the road trips on the fan bus. Gord loved animals, especially his dog Dickens. Gord also played with some of the last of the "Big Dance Bands" at Temple Gardens. He was very active until he became ill. There is no man on earth more loved and respected by his family and close friends. We offer our personal thanks to all those special doctors and nurses who cared for Gord. He is predeceased by his parents Fred and Daisy Boyle. He will be sadly missed by his partner and best friend, Marion; his daughters, Karen (Gerry) Bowler, Vicki Gosslin - all of Winnipeg, MB; five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter; brothers, Murray (Mona) Boyle, Bev (Yvonne) Boyle all of Moose Jaw; sister, Marjorie (Ken) Hart of Regina, and his extended family: Cathy (Bob) Trumblay of Regina, Pat (Brian) Smyth of Regina, Pam (Clark) Gillies of Long Island, New York, Greg (Mardi) Goettler of Moose Jaw, seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Also numerous nieces and nephews. In keeping with Gord's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Following a family Graveside Committal, conducted by Reverend John Carley, a Come & Go Tea in Gordon's memory will be held at St. Andrew's United Church Social Hall (lower level) on Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. For those so wishing memorials may be directed to the Sask. Heart & Stroke Foundation, or to the Sask. Lung Association. In living memory of Gordon, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J.
