Merle George Lidstone passed peacefully away on November 7th at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor at the age of 79. Mr. Lidstone retired from Abitibi in 1990 and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Predeceased by his wife Alice, parents Howard & Roda and sisters Mary & Phyllis. Left to mourn are son Merle (Terrilynn) of Pembroke, ON and granddaughter Keira. Also leaving to mourn sisters Audrey Regular & Elizabeth Hollett and step brother Milton Peach. Rev. Steve Barbour will conduct funeral service on Wednesday, November 10th from Trinity United Church, Botwood at 2 PM. Interment to follow at the United Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Hoskins Funeral Home, Botwood. Pallbearers are Merle Regular, Jim Sharon, Merle Lidstone, Steve Regular, Claude Sheppard, Glen Locke and honorary pallbearer Glen Cannings.
