Passed away peacefully in her home after a long struggle with cancer, Mrs. Alma G. Elliott, of Cook's Harbour, NL, in her 85th year. Alma leaves with a lifetime of loving memories, her husband Stanley; her children Rex (Margaret), and Claude (Ann), her grandchildren Tom (Wavey), Claudette (Steve), Joanna, and Andrew; her great-grandchildren Emily and Hanna, as well as a large circle of loving friends and family. Alma was tragically predeceased by her daughter Sharron Gail. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Daffodil Place in memory of Alma, so that others might be given the care that she was. Visitation was held at the United Church in Cook’s Harbour, from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9, with Rev. Ben Snook officiating. Burial followed the service in the Cook’s Harbour United Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
