The family announces with sorrow the passing of Carmen, 82, dear wife of the late Gilbert Lebrun (1994).
Carmen was predeceased by her son, Leo Lebrun (2008), grandson, Kevin Lebrun (2006), granddaughter, Shelley Lebrun (1992), and stepfather, Gordon Lewis. Carmen was also predeceased by brothers, Fred (Mary), John, Simon, Bill, George, and sisters, Liz and Irene.
Carmen is survived by her mother, Annie Lewis; and sons, George (Linda), Clifford (Rose), Junior (Joanne) of Timmins, son, Gary (Sue) of Stoney Creek; sister, Sheila; and brothers, Ed, Malcom and Rick. Carmen is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved very much. Carmen will also be sadly missed by a special nephew and niece, Blaise and Linda Binder and the entire Binder family.
Carmen was born in New Aberdeen, Glace Bay, C.B., N.S. She was a life-long member of the ladies auxiliary Legion 88. She was very active in the Legion and always there when they needed help. Carmen also loved playing darts and won many trophies.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances donations can be made to the ladies Auxiliary Branch 287 or the Diabetes Association.
Special thanks to Dr. Cohen, Dr. Schwertfeger, Dr. Auger, and the excellent nursing staff at the Timmins and District Hospital.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Maison funeraire Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home, 705-268-4488.
