Passed peacefully away on Nov. 11, 2010 at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, Elsie May (Gillingham) Kennedy of Bishop’s Falls, she was 83 years of age. Mrs. Kennedy was a loving and dedicated housewife of 63 years to Sterling and was a member of The Salvation Army since 1980. She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Laura Gillingham; brothers, Bill; sister Marjorie. Left to mourn are her husband, Sterling; cousins Joan Doyle, Ethel Hutchings and John Gillingham and a circle of other relatives and friends. Major Wycliffe Reid will conduct funeral services at The Salvation Army Citadel, Bishop’s Falls on Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 with interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Homes, Bishop’s Falls. Pallbearers are Paul Mills, Jim Noseworthy, Willie Wiseman, Jim Young, Barry Kennedy and Paul Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers are Will and Charles Kennedy.
