Unexpectedly, at her residence at Fairhaven, NB, on November 14, 2010, Mrs. Barbara Ann Theriault, wife of the late Mr. Arne Alden Theriault. Born at St. Martins, NB on February 28, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Justin and Lila (McQue) McCarthy. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by one daughter, Krista (Oliver) Cull of Fairhaven, special granddaughter, Tanesha Lindi also of Fairhaven, sisters in law; Evangeline Allen of St. George, NB, Lillian Olsson of Old Ridge, NB and Janet Theriault of Bayside NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Arne, she was predeceased by two sisters; Bernice McCarthy and Evelyn McIntyre and by one brother, Ivan McCarthy. Prior to her retirement, Barbara worked mostly in office work for various employers, retiring from Connors Bros at Fairhaven, where she was employed as her husbands secretary. She loved listening to her old time Country Music, attending social gatherings and spending her free time surrounded by her family.
At Barbara’s request there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 2 pm from the Fairhaven Community Cemetery at Calder’s Head, NB with Rev. Maurice Hatfield officiating. In Barbara’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
