The death of Frederick Fraser Urquhart of Kiersteadville, NB, age 78, occurred at his residence, on Sunday, November 14, 2010. He was born in Springfield, NB, on August 1, 1932, the son of the late Medley and Lena (Ross) Urquhart. Fred is survived by his wife Gela; son Sonny and Julie Urquhart of Rothesay; daughters Patricia Urquhart and Wayne Wilson of Ottawa, ON and Mia and Darin Clarke of Kiersteadville; grandchildren Alex and Ryan Urquhart, Camara and Ethan Wilson, Jesse and Mason Clarke; brother Ross and Lois Urquhart of Sussex; sisters Phyllis Armstrong of Sussex, Norma Smith of Milton, ON, and Gale and Bob Goddard of Anagance; sister-in-law Joan Urquhart of Bridgewater, NS; several nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Gordon.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Celebration Service of Fred’s life, conducted by Rev. Alden Crain, will be held from Kiersteadville Baptist Church, Kiersteadville, NB, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2010. Interment will take place in Kiersteadville Cemetery.
