Varner, Harry T. “Bubs” - 94, of Parrsboro, and formerly of Diligent River, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Glasgow Mountain, he was a son of the late George “Fred” and Leah (Bowden) Varner. He is survived by his wife, the former Alexia Bennett; a son, Terry (Karen), Parrsboro; a sister, Mabel Green, Middleton; brothers, Roy (Janet), Diligent River; Aubrey (Leoda), Yorke Settlement; a grandson, Robert, Parrsboro and Robert’s mother, Betty Bird, Springhill; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tanya Lee in infancy; sisters, Bernice, Grace; brothers, Laurie, Edward, Stanley, Claude, Lloyd, Medley; two in infancy. Funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday [November 14, 2010] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Rev. Greg Doyle officiating.
