James (Jim) E. Campbell, 78, of Riverview, N.B., with Jamie and Neil at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, November 16, 2010.
Born in Montague, P.E.I., he was the son of the late Wesley and Hilma (Scheleen) Campbell.
Jim was a former Commercial Traveller, former employee of J.D. Creaghan Co. Ltd. and was retired from Colpitt's Men's Wear, Moncton. He was a former member of the Moncton Legion Branch #6, the Moncton Press Club and the Moncton Crime Stoppers. Jim was an avid outdoors person, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching, gardening, socializing with his friends (he was known to enjoy the odd card game), and spending precious time with
his family.
Jim will be sadly missed by his son, James (Jamie) (Monika), Fredericton; grandchildren, Iain, Martin and Kyna; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Owen and Madeline; sisters, Jean Jackart, Fredericton, Norma Campbell, Charlottetown; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ferne (Fenton) Campbell; son, Dwight; grandson, David; brothers, Stuart, Donald and Jackie.
In keeping with Jim's wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. Interment in Curryville Cemetery.
