It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our sister, aunt and friend, Violet Pottie, on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
She was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Morash) Pottie.
Violet is survived by her sister, Elsie Forrester, Sydney; two sisters in Ontario; her brother in Margaree; and several nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by the staff and residents of Terrace Manor, Glace Bay.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Sadie Wilson.
Violet spent the last 25 years living at the manor, she enjoyed being there with Blanche, the staff and all the friends she made over the years.
The family will be ever grateful for the excellent care and love Violet has received from the home, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Interment to follow in Our Lady of Fatima Church Cemetery.
