Passed peacefully away on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Escasoni Nursing Home, Eldon Pennell, age 88 years (born December 7, 1921), formerly of Carmanville. Predeceased by his parents, his brothers Newman (Sheppard) and Leonard (Pennell), and his great-grandson Robbie Barrow. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Olive; daughters Jacqueline (Jim), Gail (Pleman), Netta (John), Trudy (John), and Jocelyn (Gordon); brother Selby; sister Leta; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends. Special thanks to the staff at 1 East Escasoni, as well as the staff at 5 South A and 4 South A at The Health Sciences Centre. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, with visitations on Tuesday, November 23rd from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 7:00–9:00 p.m. Also resting at Bethel Pentecostal Church in Carmanville on Wednesday, November 24th, with visitations from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Bethel Pentecostal Church in Carmanville on Thursday, November 25th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at The Pentecostal Cemetery.
