Peacefully, surrounded by his family, of James "Kenneth" MacKinnon of St. Charles and Selkirk, in his 82nd year, at Souris Hospital on Nov. 23, 2010. Husband for 50 years of Patricia (MacLean). Father of Janice (Joe MacEwen), Michele (Jim Fox), Reggie (Marlene Rayner), Bernadine (James Larsen), Caroline, Wendell (Tanya Reynolds) and Robert (Tracy Shaw). Also survived by sister, Mary; sisters-in-law, Mary (Ed Steele) and Barb (Alan Bradley); and brother-in-law, Gordon MacLean (Janice). Predeceased by parents, James and Annie; brothers, Somerled, Mike, Louis; brother-in-law, Arnold Gaudet; mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Dorothy MacLean; and sister-in-law, Ann MacLean. Grandfather to Lisa (Andrew Newcombe), Patrick (Katie DesRoches), Jocelyn, Lorrina, Justin, Joseph, Allan, Michael, Jessica, Kyle, Sarah, Bethany, Jake, Tessa, Ethan and Blake. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home, Souris. Visiting hours on Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church on Saturday morning at 11. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
