Passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness at the Health Science Complex, St. John's on Nov. 29, 2010, June Elizabeth Jewer of Botwood. She was 72 years. Mrs. Jewer worked as a cashier at Foodland and Antles most of her life and ended her working career as a home care worker in 2000. She was a member of 50 Plus Club of Botwood, Minor Hockey Moms, UCW of Botwood, Lioness Club and Firebelle Club. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Reginald Jewer (2004) and her father Frank Murphy (1986). Left to mourn are her mother Susie Murphy; son, Shaun (Gail); daughter, Connie (Paul) McDonald; three grandchildren, Kendra, Steve and Carli. Also leaving to mourn are her sisters Shirley Murphy, Lorraine Eggume, Evelyn (Cliff) Thomas, Ruby (George) Legge and Linda (Bill) Elliott; brothers, Roland (Joan), Bruce (Mary), Glen (Georgina), Scott (Bernadette) and a circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Stephen Barbour will conduct funeral services at Trinity United Church, Botwood, Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 with interment at the United Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Homes, Botwood. Pallbearers were brothers, Roland, Bruce, Scott, Glen; brother-in-law, Cliff Thomas; family friend, Everett Elliott.
