An incredibly beautiful spirit and wonderful lady, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at home in her 68th year, surrounded by her adoring family.
Sheila was cherished wife of Eymard (Mardy) Lambert, treasured mother of Kelly Ann (Roland) Smilde, Carp, Ont., and son, Jason, Toronto, Ont., adored and devoted grandma to Morgan and Ashley Smilde.
Sheila was predeceased by infant son, Jeffrey Bernard, and infant daughter, Heather Allison. Also, parents Bernard and Carmella MacGillivray, sisters, Thelma (Pat) Vetere, Mary (Gerard) Gouthro, twin sister, Sharon (Phillip) Syms, brothers, Bernard Junior and Steve (Joan).
Sheila is survived by loving sisters, Ursula (Art) Henry, Gloria, Arlene (Barry) Martin and brother, Xavier (Patricia); sisters-in-law, Norma (Sander) MacMullin, Ave (Ken) Lavoie; brother-in-law, Bert (Louise) Lambert. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A special thank you to all her caring and compassionate caregivers especially Doctors Grainger, Coulombe, Splinter, cancer centre, Carefor and palliative care, WeCare specifically Christine and Hélène.
Sheila's earthly presence is gone, but her spiritual presence is ours forever. We will always hold dear her love, integrity, caring, compassion and kindness to others.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. at Annunciation of the Lord Roman Catholic Church, 2414 Ogilvie Rd., Gloucester, Ont., followed by burial at Beechwood National Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa, Ont.
