Peacefully, at VON Sakura House, Woodstock, on Saturday, December 4, 2010, Roystone (Roy) Keith Mills passed away at the age of 82 years.
Beloved husband and best friend of Margaret (Coles) Mills. Loving father of Janet Craig and Barry of Belleville and Kimberly Mills and Charles of Beaverton. Dear brother of Mavis Allum and June Wicken both of England. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Roy was born in East Grinstead, England, on November 18, 1928. He served in the English army for three years. He later moved to Canada where he shared time between Prince Edward Island and Ontario. Roy worked for General Motors for 32 years and was active within the Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Oshawa Cedar Lodge #270, Oxford Lodge, Woodstock, Royal Arch Pentalpher Lodge, Lodge of Perfection, Woodstock and the Walsingham Lodge.
In keeping with Roy's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Ostrander's Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service time. Rev. Fr. Bill Ward officiating. Interment later in Prince Edward Island.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the VON Sakura House or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
