Paul Bubar

Surrounded by his wife and children, Paul Eugene Bubar went home to be with his Lord, on December 5, 2010, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley Isobel (Strong), of Woodstock, his daughter Ann Steeves (Jim) of Lower Sackville, NS, sons Archie (Joan) of Somerville, Andrew (Penny) of Riverview, Kevin (Victoria) of Woodstock, six grandchildren, Johannah, Matthew, Dawson, Jarred, Jenica, and Abby, and great-granddaughter, Aralee. Predeceased by his brother Frank and sisters Ruth and Ena, Paul is survived by his brother John. Paul was a member of the Victoria Corner United Baptist Church and served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was a potato farmer in Carleton County all his life, and his happiest days and memories were in working alongside his wife and sons in a successful agricultural business. Serving the local farming community was of great importance to Paul. He thought of his fellow farmers as not only clients, but valued friends. The family is thankful for the exceptional care and comfort Paul received from the home care workers, and the staff of Riverside Court in Woodstock, N.B.
