The death occurred suddenly on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, of Wayne Gallant of Palmer Street, Summerside, aged 55 years. Born in Halifax, N.S., he was the son of the late John "Jack" and Phoebe (Gallant) Gallant. Survived by his wife Sherry (Carr) Gallant; son Adam; daughter Nicole "Nikki" Gallant (David); granddaughter Carleigh; brothers and sisters Ivan (Shirley), Louis (Janet), Myrna McNally, Peter (Darlene), Janet (Jerry) Tourout and Catherine (Bob) Graham; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Susan Gallant, Olivene Gallant, Arlene Carr, Darcy (Sandra) Carr, Lois (Greg) Noonan; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Frank and Blair Gallant; sister Karen Gallant; sisters-in-law Grace Arsenault and Ruth Gallant; and by brothers-in-law Denzil Carr and Keith Arsenault. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, (98 Water Street - private entrance in rear of Waterfront Mall - former SRDC office), until Wednesday, then to Trinity United Church, Summerside, where funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Hospice Palliative Care Association of P.E.I. - East Prince Chapter, would be appreciated.
