It is with great sadness that the family of the late John J. Smith announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the age of 72 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Cecilia, one son, Ken (Pauline) of Barrie, Ontario, two daughters: Marilyn (Rick) Duffy of Grand Falls, Janice (Bernard) Bishop of Toronto, one sister, Elizabeth Felix of Stephenville, four grandchildren: Cameron, Danielle, Hilarie, Malorie and a large circle of relatives and friends. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Monday and Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, July 1st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with Cremation to follow.
