Primrose Hicks, age 92, of Amherst, passed away peacefully at the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash on Thursday, December 30, 2010.
Born in Sunnyside England, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Nellie (Read) Harvey.
Primrose loved her family. She was an avid fisherperson. She enjoyed life, always carrying on and spending time with friends, family, animals and nature.
She will be sadly missed by her sons Laurie (Lucy), Amherst, Bobby (Maddie), BC, Hugh (Michele), Brantford, ON, Daniel (Joan), Point-Du-Chene, NB, Bill (Louise), Brantford, ON; daughters Cindy (alex) Lusby, Betty (Lloyd) Babineau, both of Amherst, Sheila Berry, Quinnell, BC; 21 Grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her spouse Robert McKenna, son Gordon, twin sister Joyce, brothers Ted and Bid.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where a memorial service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 11 am.
