Edmée Irène Cormier - 1923 - 2010 - Cocagne - Edmée Cormier, 87, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 31, 2010, after a lengthy illness. Born in Cocagne on April 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Anna (Babineau) LeBlanc. Edmée will sadly be missed by her two sons, Armand Cormier of Brampton, ON, Gérard Cormier (late Connie) of Tweed, ON; five daughters, Jeannita Allain of Brampton, ON, Marie-Anna Cormier of Cocagne, Germaine Cormier (Charles Palmer) of Moncton, Lucie Allain (Clarence) of Notre-Dame, Suzanne Goguen (late Claude) of Cocagne; three brothers, Joseph LeBlanc of Notre-Dame, Albert LeBlanc (Aurore) and Louis LeBlanc (Jeanne) both of Mass. USA; three sisters, Cécile Cormier (late Camille) of Notre-Dame, Hélène Cormier (late George) of Azilda, ON, Julie Vienneau (Lionel) of Cap-Pelé; seven grandchildren, Julie, Mark, Michael, Nicole, Dominique, Jacqueline, Elisabeth; one great granddaughter, Rowan. She was predeceased by her husband in 1999, Maxime, a son, Arthur, a sister, Maria and a brother, Arthur.
Visitations will be held at the St-Pierre de Cocagne RC Church slumber room on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 1 to 3:45 pm. followed by the funeral mass at 4 pm. Donations to the Alzheimer Society, Paroisse de Cocagne or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
