Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, on Monday June 29th 2009, Nelson Joseph Hinks at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter; Joanne (Brian) Kendrick, grandson Jack (Poppy's Boy ) & Poppy's grandchild to-be, his special friend; Lucy Hillier, his sisters; Maureen ( John ) Anstey, Bertha (Lola) Jerry Nichols, Madonna Caines, and his brother; Jerome (Adeline),his brothers-in-law; Edward Metacalfe, George Atkins, Doyle Verge, Nelson was predeceased by his parents; Maude & Clarence Hinks, his sisters; Katherine, Jean, & Theresa, his brother; Gordon, & brother in law; Fred Caines. Also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. The family will be receiving family & friends from the Holy Rosary Pastoral center in Pasadena on Wednesday July 1st 2009 from the hours of 7-9 pm and on Thursday July 2nd 2009 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral Mass of Christan burial will take place on Friday July 3rd 2009 at 10 am, Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Pasadena, with the Father: Joseph Gash officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the Roman Catholic cemetery in Pasadena. In lieu of flowers donation to the Children's Wish Foundation, or The Canadian Cancer Society in Nelson's memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
