It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Cornish of St. Alban's, NL announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Saturday January 1, 2011 at the age of 97. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughters: Bessie Crant, St. Alban's, NL & Lorraine (Jerry Buck), Londo, ON; sons: James (Ann), St. Alban's with whom he resided, Walter (Jean), Toronto, ON, Elson (Lydia), Holyrood, NL, Hedley (Diane), Toronto, ON, Guy (Peggy), Milltown, NL; 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; daughter in law: Evelyn Rose, Gaultois, NL, as well as a large circle of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife: Emma (1967); second wife: Marie (1979); sons: Hubert, Frank & Edison; daughter: Lucy; one brother and five sisters. The funeral service was held on Tuesday January 4, 2011 at 2:30 pm at Christ Anglican Church, Milltown with Reverend Roy Simms officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Head of Bay d'Espoir. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes' Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban's.
