James David McCombe of Halifax passed away at the QEII hospital on Friday, Jan 7, 2011. He was the son of John McCombe and Olive Ellis. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Ferne (Stewart), his daughter Karyn (David Jones) of Halifax, his daughter Sheila of Toronto, his son Jim (Amy) of Quispamsis, NB, his grandchildren Cody & Sam Jones and Lucas & Lily McCombe and his beloved brother, Michael, Calgary. Predeceased by his parents, his son Bill McCombe, his brother John McCombe.
Cremation has taken place. A reception will be held at the Halifax Club, 1682 Hollis Street, Halifax Jan 12 from 6pm to 8:30 pm and a celebration of his life at 7pm. No flowers please; donations to the Heart Transplant Clinic at the QEII Hospital in Halifax would be appreciated.
