Wayne Stuart McPhee - 62, of Centreville, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at home with Liz by his side. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Marguerite (Wright) McPhee, Halifax and the late Stuart McPhee. He lived his early years in Upper Rawdon and spent the last 20 years in the Kentville area. Wayne worked for many years for Dover Elevators and later ThyssenKrupp, retiring recently. He coached minor hockey and baseball for a number of years. He had a love for building and racing cars and trucks. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" (Tidgwell) (Seeley); a daughter, Kimberly (Scott) Fleck, Halifax; a son, Todd (Kelly), Kennetcook; grandchildren, Ryan and Laura McPhee, Evan Fleck; a sister, Brenda (Stanley) White, Noel; stepchildren, Benjamin Seeley, Alice and Edward Jollymore, Medicine Hatt, Alberta; Donna Emin, Florida; Lynes and Cheryl Seeley, Sackville; Kevin and Josie Seeley, Three Hills, Alberta; step grandchildren, Shannon, Tiffany, Devin, Brittney, Kayla, Sarah, Benjamin, Kaitlyn, Lily, Jeremy and Joshua; step great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kayleigh and Marcella. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There was no visitation, by request. A private gathering of friends and family was held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the home of Todd and Kelly in Kennetcook as well as a private gathering of friends and family held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011 in the family home in Centreville, where Reverend Sterling Gosman offered words of comfort. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice.
