1948 - 2011 - Miramichi - Hazen William Stephen Blakely, husband of Suzanna Blakely, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of the Searle Road, passed away at his residence, on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the age of 62. Born in Weldfield, on March 13, 1948, he was the son of the late Myles G. and Suzanne (Ross) Blakely. He was a former employee of Atlantic Waferboard Inc., Dickson's sawmill and Nelson Forest products Ltd. He attended St. Marys Anglican Church, Miramichi. He is survived by his mother, Suzanne Blakely; his wife, the former Suzanna Robichaud; one daughter, Wendy Welton (Malcolm), of Miramichi; three sons, John Brent (Bernadette), of Rogersville, Jason Blakely (Melissa), of Napan and Clyde Blakely (Lisa), of Weldfield; one sister, Beth Blakely, of Camloops, B.C.; six grandchildren, Skylar, Ethan, Robin, Lillian, Emily, Noah. He was predeceased by his father, Myles.
Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday, from 7 to 9 pm and Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Marys Anglican Church, on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Gordon Thompson. Interment will be in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi Chapter of the Alzheimer Society, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
