It is with great sadness that the family of Edward W. Griffin announce his sudden passing on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the age of 71 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 49 years Juanita (nee Stuckless), two sons David (Jill), Edward (Michelle); four grandchildren: Ian, Laura, Kennedy and Jake; sisters and brothers: Lucy Boland (Tom), Josephine Perrett, Ron Griffin, Josephine King (Rex), Marie Rumbolt (Jack), Bill Meaney (Tina), Stan Kennedy (Rose), Patricia Kennedy, Perry Richards (Al), John Kennedy (Sylvia); sisters-in-law: Annie Vineham (Gilbert), Violet Frampton (Lloyd), Ruby O'Quinn (Carl), Dar Brake (Eric), Marion (Sis) Stuckless; brothers-in-law: Fred Stuckless (Janet), Art Stuckless (Doreen), as well as a large number nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Gertrude and Ron Griffin, sister Mary Hussey and husband Melvin. Visitation will be held at Fillatre's Funeral Home 218 Street Wednesday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A private family memorial service will be held at Fillatre's Funeral Home. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Kidney Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
