Roch Ernest Granger of Moose Jaw, formerly of Midale, SK passed away January 22, 2011 at the age of 87. Roch was born in Willow Bunch, SK to Ireneé and Corinne (Bonneau) Granger. He attended school in Willow Bunch. Roch's mother passed away when he was 15 and he took on the role of caretaker of his family, helping with the farm and his siblings. Roch met Mabel Jerome and they were married in October 29, 1947. Roch held many jobs, including mechanic, implement sales, school janitor and town maintenance. Roch and Mabel lived in Willow Bunch until moving to Bengough and then Midale retiring to Moose Jaw in 1988. Roch enjoyed spending time with his family, helping others, woodworking, and staying active with the Mall Walkers. Roch is predeceased by his parents; one son Kenneth; sister Anita, and brother Roger; brothers-in-law Art, Leonard, Phillip and Leonard. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 63 years Mabel; children Linda (Bruce) Welch, Ernest (Jean) Granger, Debra Granger; grandchildren Roxanne (Trevor), Lorna, Greg (Patricia), Sheri (Stacey) Andrea (Jason), Curtis (Robin); 12 great-grandchildren; brothers Andy (Margaret), Gilles (Patricia), Roland (Anita), Guy (Elaine); sisters Bib, Renee, Gabrielle, Bernadette (Bob); sisters-in-law Marie, Delphne, and Irene, brother-in-law Charles, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Roch's Life will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 3:30 pm. Father Carlos Jimenez will officiate.
