NOTE time changes due to weather

The death occurred peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B. on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, of Robert "Eldon" MacArthur of Tyne Valley and formerly of Northam, P.E.I., aged 81 years. Eldon was born on Nov. 3, 1929, in Northam, P.E.I., to his late parents, Horace and Wilna (nee Millar) MacArthur. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Rayner) MacArthur and loving father of Donald (Cindy) of Lot 16 and Douglas (Kathy) of Northam. Also lovingly remembered by eight grandchildren: Jason, Tanya, Colin, Pamela, Tanner, Tammy, Jody and Kevin, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his sister Priscilla (Ira) Strongman of Summerside and his brother Ronald (Shirley) of Northam. Besides his parents, Eldon was predeceased by his sister Joan and brother Clifford. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Friday for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Interment to take place in the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours on Friday, noon until time of funeral service. Memorial donations in Eldon's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
