Peacefully, at the Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston, Ont., on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at the age of 86.
Beloved wife of the late Dave 'Stump' Porter (1981). Loving mother of David (Christine) and Norm (Karen).
Predeceased by son, Lawson and daughters, Barbara, Dorothy and Melinda, survived by her husband, Charlie 'Binnie.' Granny and Nanners will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of David (Ronalda) Cann.
Predeceased by sisters, Catharine Cann, Leona Roberts and Judy Cann and by brothers, Harold (the late Rita), Robert (the late Shirley) and Gorden survived by his wife, Nell.
Mildred was born and raised in Glace Bay, N.S.
Mildred's family will receive friends at the Lamb-Bocchinfuso Funeral Home, 2 Regent St., Thorold on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Lamb Chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Mildred to Tender Wishes would be appreciated by the family.
