Mary Loretta Hogan (nee Sutton) passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on January 28th, 2011 at Bonavista Eastern Health Hospital with her family by her side. Dear wife of her late husband, William (Bill). Predeceased by her infant children, Raphael, Carol Ann, and Stella. Loving mother of Bernadette Bailey (Ted) of Renfrew, ON, Tom Hogan (Paulette), and Geraldine Freeborn (Leo) of St. John's, Christopher Hogan (Kim) of Pickering, ON, Robert Hogan (Linda) of Mississauga, ON, Ronald Hogan (Shirley) of Port Union, and Madonna Bartlett (Shawn) of St. John's. She will be sadly missed by her 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mary is survived by her sisters Alice Whalen (Lou) of Port Perry, ON, Katherine Tomes (Larry) and Rita Hoffman (Norbert) of Lady Lake, FL, and Bernadette Hogan (Tom) of Port Union. Mary is predeceased by her brothers Joe, Richard and Robert and sister Ellen. Visitation will be Sunday, January 30th at Strathie's Funeral Home, Catalina, NL, 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service is on Monday, January 31st at 11:00 a.m., St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Port Union, NL. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to the charity of your choice.
