It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of Walter Rozicki at the QE II Hospital, Halifax on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011.
Born in Sydney, May 13, 1963, he was the son of the late Edward and Julia (Deschepper) Rozicki.
Walter was employed at Staples Call Centre, Lower Sackville, previously employed as manager of Charm & Crescent Jewellers. He was an avid Elvis fan and enjoyed listening to his music. Walter will always be remembered as the life of the party. His charm and captivating smile enlightened all that knew him.
Walter is survived by his partner, Cathy Noseworthy; her children, Erik and Erin; sister, Helen (Tony) Szucs, Halifax; brothers, Eddie (Sue) Rozicki, Francis (Darlene) Rozicki, both of Sydney; niece, Tanya; nephews, Eddie, Marshall and grandniece, Madison; as well as his former companion and good friend, Pattie Givogue, and her daughter, Chantale.
He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
As per Walter's wishes he was an organ and tissue donor. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 10 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will take place 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11 in the funeral home chapel wth Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating. Intement to follow in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
