KYLE, William B. - 83, of Lakelands, Cumb. Co. slipped away quietly on February 5, 2011 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, surrounded by those he loved. Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late Bertie and Reta (Morse) Kyle. A good man who learned to work hard early in life. He went to work in the lumber woods at the age of 13 to help support his family. Later he became a mill sawyer and millwright, working at different mills and at Hanna Farms for 64 years. He was a member of Trinity United Church and Minas Lodge No. 67 in Parrsboro. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by sisters, Josephine, Martina, Dorothy and Shirley; twin brothers, Lee and Binney. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marion (Hanna) Kyle; daughters, Jocelyn MacDonald (Ian), Dartmouth; Janet Brown (Dana), Lakelands; a son, William (Lori), Lakelands; granddaughter, Katharine MacDonald, Dartmouth; brother-in-law, Lawrence Hanna (Peggy), Lakelands; special cousin, Paul Morse, Parrsboro; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his three cats who were a great comfort to him during his many years with Alzheimer's disease. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service and his ashes will be placed beside his mother in the Parrsboro United Cemetery at a later date. He will be sadly missed. His family would like to thank the doctors and medical staff of Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, and caregivers for their exceptional care and kindness to him on his final journey home. In appreciation of his concern for animals, memorial donations may be made to the L.A. Animal Shelter, 668 Smith Rd., Upper Nappan, NS, B0L 1C0 or to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia.
