December 9, 1946 – February 7, 2011. It is with tremendous broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Christina Mary Duke. Predeceased by her father, Michael Edwards; baby brother, Michael, as well as her son, Leo. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are her devoted and loving husband, Cyril; mother, Annie, residing at Gateway Residence; children: Sherry Hunt (Paul), Darren Quilty (Sharon), Lisa Gosling (Earl), Corey Quilty, Michael Quilty (Melissa); treasured grandchildren: Alicia, Melissa, Kyle, Nathan, Cameron, Brandon, Stephen, Courtney, Emily, Kaylee and Lee. Also leaving to mourn her sister, Marion Bonnell (Ben); brothers: Mike Edwards (Alice), Gary Edwards (Leah), Norm Edwards (Sue), Paul Edwards (Lisa); brothers-in-law: Francis Duke (Carmel), Ray Duke, Leo Duke (Betty), Bill Duke (Lucy) and Doug Collins; sisters-in-law: Doreen Douner (Charlie), Anne Petten (Fred), Margaret Stewart (Cyril). A devoted worker at Lion’s Manor, Christina truly loved the work she did and all the residents she helped care for. She will be truly missed. Some of her favourite times were spent with her camping buddies. God has taken our angel home. Resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitations from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
