It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald Eugene Craig announces his passing. Ronald was born January 29th, 1921 in Carlisle, N.B. and passed away following a brief illness on February 9th, 2011 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, N.B. He was 90 years of age. Ronald was the son of the late Willard and Myrtle (nee Fowler)(Kimball) Craig. Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Mary Marina (Pratt) and their children, Nelda Craig and Ross (Lisa) Craig and grandchildren, Avery and Ryan Craig all of Fredericton, N.B. and several nieces and nephews and their families. Ronald was a cherished Husband, Dad, Papa, Brother and Uncle to his family. He was predeceased by all his siblings, Elbridge Craig, George Craig, Kenneth Craig, Oliver Craig, Bernice Graham, Vesta Berry, Reta Wallace, Ruby Kimball, Kenneth Craig, Wilma Jones, and Erma Mangum. He lived all his life in Carlisle occupied by farming and lumbering throughout the area. He was a past long-standing member of the Carleton Co-operative of Florenceville, and a current member of the Guimac Seniors Club. Ronald enjoyed regular fellowship at the Mount Pleasant United Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held at Britton Funeral Home, High Street, Hartland, N.B. on Friday, February 11th from 6 to 9 pm and the funeral service will be held Saturday, February 12th, at 2 pm from The Lorne Britton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Peter Culberson officiating, assisted by Pastor Steve Urquhart. Interment will be in the Cloverdale Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations in memory of Ronald may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cloverdale Cemetery, or a charity of the donor's choice.
