1941- 2011 - Peacefully on Sunday, February 20th with her family by her side. Adoring wife of her true love of over 40 years, the late John Kelly Duffney. Jean is survived by her beloved daughter, Cindy Legault and son in lawYvon Legault, devoted son John H Duffney and his partner Deb Thompson, cherished granddaughter Natisa McGee, sister Marion Rosborough and brother John Mason. Raised on a family farm in New Brunswick, she accompanied her husband John throughout his career and developed a deep bond with many friends in the military community. A kind, tender soul, and loving wife, mother, grandmother; she was utterly devoted to her family. Jean was happiest tending her garden, visiting with family and friends, and sailing into the sunset with John.
The family will received friends on Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 10:30. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Sacred Space of Beechwood National Memorial Centre of Ottawa, On 1-866-990-9593 The family wish to extend their heart felt thanks to the long-term care staff of Garden Terrace Home.
