Gerard Wilson

Surrounded by his family on Saturday evening February 19, 2011 the passing of Gerard Ellis Wilson occurred at the Carleton Manor at Woodstock, NB. Gerard was born in Centreville, NB on August 2 1919 , to the late Glen and Alanda (Sloat) Wilson. Gerard served in the U.S. Army for twenty six years, serving overseas and in the United States. He served in World War II as well as the Berlin Crisis. Gerard retired as Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Army and made his home in Presque Isle Me. And worked for Gimound dairy and M P G. Gerard was the last surviving member of his immediate family and is survived by his wife, Arlene (Brown) Wilson, Centreville, Patty, Corpus Christi, Texas, Gerard Jr., Dallas, Texas, Larry (Carol) Centreville, NB, Karen (Darrell) Centreville, NB, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandaughter and several cousins nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Harold and Clarence.
There will be a service of remembrance held at a later date at The Tracey Mills United Baptist Church with interment at the Williamstown Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Tracey Mills United Baptist Church, Building Fund.
