Centrelea, Annapolis Co., N.S. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, James Langmead at his home in Centrelea on March 3, 2011 after a long struggle with cancer. Born in St. John’s, NL, on November 23, 1942, he was a son of the late James and Mary (Fewer). Leaving to cherish his memory are loving and devoted wife, Elaine (Hiscock); his children: Mark and Marcie (Shearer), of N.S., Jim Anderson, of BC and Donna (Asslin), of ON; grandchildren: Jeremy and Ashley Shearer of N.S., Casandra and Christian, of ON. Jim will be sorely missed by his seven sisters and three brothers: Emily, Rosemary, Jean, Josephine, John, Mary, Patricia, Frank, Linda and Charles; special cousin, Marie and many cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A thank you to Dr. J. Brooks and Dr. E. Balser, the hospital staff at Victoria General and Soldiers Memorial for their care and guidance throughout his illness. Jim has been cremated according to his wishes and a celebration of his life will take place at the Centrelea Community Hall, following the graveside service to be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 5, 2011 in the Centrelea Cemetery, Centrelea.
